PROCLAMATIONS FOR FEBRUARY 2003

SACRAMENTO - Governor Gray Davis proclaimed February 2003 as:

African American History Month

Cal Grant Month

Gov. Davis also proclaimed:

February 1 through 7, 2003 as "California Women's Heart Week;"

February 2 through 8, 2003 as "California Consumer Protection Week;"

February 3 through 9, 2003 as "Girls and Women in Sports Week;"

February 9 through 15, 2003 as "Child Passenger Safety Week;" and

February 16 through 22, 2003 as "African-American Infant Health Week."

Gov. Davis also proclaimed:

February 1, 2003 as "Chinese New Year's Day;"

February 6, 2003 as "Ronald Reagan Day;" and

February 14, 2003 as "A Day for Hearts: Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Day."
